As a fitness coach, nutrition consultant and health educator for close to 15 years, I have had the deep pleasure of helping my clients learn and apply the truth behind the science of food and exercise.
When I'm not busy conducting personal and group training sessions, I work on creating lecture videos and writing articles on various health topics, all of which are posted at MarkitoNutrition.com. The driving force behind the information I share is the fact that I have seen my clients reverse chronic issues in a very short amount of time. While many nutritionists and personal trainers like to accumulate before and after photos of their clients to show weight loss, I have started to accumulate before and after blood tests and success stories that are, in my opinion, of much greater significance than simply losing a few pounds. I feel it is more important to show that chronic health issues, such as type II diabetes, can be reversed in under a month. A 40% drop in cholesterol is possible in just 3 weeks with a proper lifestyle change, and, best of all, there are sustainable ways to accomplish these goals. It all begins with the right education. As I often repeat to my clients, I’m not here JUST to tell you how to exercise, what to eat, what toothpaste to use, how to reduce stress, or how to live your life. I don’t have a set “program” or a quick fix. My job is to give you the freedom to make your own choices, a freedom that only becomes available to us once we are provided with the right information. It is my joy and honour to guide individuals who have accepted the responsibility to take care of their health.
Close to 15 years and counting, I've worked with a wide range of the population, from children to senior citizens, weekend warriors to athletes, fit individuals as well as those suffering from health issues, and I am very proud of the life-long relationships we have built together. To see my clients continue to improve over the years is extremely gratifying. Exercise, proper nutrition and a more conscious lifestyle enriches lives in countless ways, and so it is with great pleasure and commitment that I continue to serve to the best of my ability.
